....a close on 2026, well, almost.

As the 2026 season draws to a close at Predannack Anti-Aircraft Battery and Museum, we would like to reflect on what has been a fantastic year and say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us.

We have enjoyed two very successful events this year: our Weapons Through the Ages event saw a vast collection of historic weapons on display and being fired, while the Company B event and weekend certainly went off with a bang! Just as importantly, we have had some wonderful conversations with visitors and members of the public. As volunteers, we love sharing our interests, knowledge and enthusiasm for the history of the battery, and it has been a pleasure to meet so many people who share that curiosity. Your support, encouragement and interest make all the hard work worthwhile.

Although the main season is coming to an end, the work behind the scenes never really stops. We aim to make as many improvements to the site and exhibits as we can each year, so there is always something different to discover whenever you visit. This winter, we have some exciting conservation plans, including expanding our museum area into other parts of the battery’s infrastructure, putting our Home Front Anderson shelter to bed for the winter, and keeping on top of the ever-present grounds maintenance.

The museum will continue to be open on Saturday mornings from 09:00 to 12:30, so please feel free to drop in for a visit. If you are interested in volunteering, come down on a Saturday morning and make yourself known—we will happily put you through your paces, although we promise the tea breaks are nearly as important as the work! Whether you have a passion for history, practical skills to share, or simply fancy getting involved, we would love to hear from you.

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has supported Predannack Anti-Aircraft Battery and Museum throughout the 2026 season. We hope to see you all again next year for more fun, more history, and plenty more bangs!

Saturday morning entrance fee per person

Adults £6.00 | Child £3.50 (Under 6 are free)

Family of four £14.00

All proceeds from the gate go directly towards the conservation of the museum and the costs of delivering our events with a bang. While we’ve aimed to operate on donations, they have not fully covered the ongoing activities, and we appreciate your understanding.
